Talofa lava my name is Richard  I am 10 years old I’m from SAMOA. I have 1 little sister and she is 6 years old her name is  Nina she is the youngest. I have a younger brother  Acera junior. I also enjoy playing rugby league my uncle Alex  encourages me to play rugby league. So, I’m  going to carry on his legacy.and . When I grow up I want to be an NRL player.

I Would like  to be an ambassador because I would like to make my family proud and .”. I would also like to show my teachers  and my principal that I am a leader too.

One thing that I have learned this year is decimal fractions.  These are numbers that are parts of a whole for example 0.1  is the same as one tenth. I was lucky to be part of the maths club this year.

I am good at speaking in front of people because  This year I was a presenter for the Manaiakalani film festival. I learned all my lines and really enjoyed it. If I am an ambassador, I would be a trustworthy and reliable person.

This terms new topic is PES Survivors. As part of our topic team four are learning about animals, their habitats and how they can adapt. We are also learning about endangered animals and how to keep them safe. 

One of the reasons why animals are becoming endangered or extinct is because people are littering and cutting down too many trees from forests just for paper. As they cut these trees they leave tree stumps and animals who were in those forests have no food or home anymore. Fish also are becoming endangered because of us humans who are getting to many fish from the sea to make money out of, and some of the fish they don’t even need. Who could be next, humans?

About 65 million years ago before me and you were born,dinosaurs became extinct. At that time a gigantic asteroid crashed into earth and caused terrible changes to the earth and also killed all the dinosaurs. Scientists are still studying dinosaur bones that are found in the ground.

Parakai Story

Friday of the holidays I had a great time with all the kids from my church at ‘in parakai  At first I tripped a few times i the water but then I was getting the hang of it. It was the first time I've ever been swimming but I was already a gangster swimmer

Everyday you normally wear your pair feet but for some  we wear different kinds such as parakai are similar to flip flopes but instead of wheels it's a thin knife-like blade that you use only for swimming on ice. Using swimming shoes were new for me especially when I was swimming on the ground with it.

Learning to swim easier than you think it is. To start off you put your feet shaped as a V then you push with whichever foot you feel comfortable with then you do the other leg and after that all over again and there you go you’ve learnt to swimming. When you are about to fall don’t hold on to anyone because it just makes it worse, try your best to be steady and calm.

During the holidays there were many other fun things that I did but I wrote about my favourite part witch was swimming. Next holidays I’m hoping to go somewhere I’ve never been to like rainbow’s end.

Richard Market day work

We are having a market, there is a reason why we are having a market, it is because we can share what we have created in our Trade and Enterprise groups. People will know that we have tried our hardest to try and create as many as we can before the market comes. My business group is called the homeware, my business partners are siokita, taupia,troy and toni and last and only is Richard In my business group me and my business partners has made candles. When I grow up I want to make a business called candle world, so everybody knows what I am doing and what I have created for them, so everybody can come and enjoy my business. Me and my business groups made 39 PTS so we gave the the pts to Miss lavakula she got the calculator open then

she did 39 divide  by 4 because there were four of us so it =9.75 then the money went into our bank account

MY Friends are toni taupia because they are  my partner we had fourteen orders from room 6,7,8,9,10 and some there interested other people's products so were trying to attract other people to come to buy our product so we created a doc so they can come to us to order candles

We get money but it is not New Zealand money we call it PT’S and Pieces the PT’S are called 2 PT's and 1Pt and the pieces are called 50 pieces and

20 pieces. We get paid because we be good and we help around the classes did I also mention that only team 4 which is the year 5’s and 6’s get PT’s and Pieces. Only our teachers give them to us.

When I woke up for school I went to my bag and guess what was in my bag was 1 MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!. When I saw it I was really stoked and I didn't even wanted to go school,but I only could pay my 1 million dollars in one day.This would be really really fun having 1 million dollars because I can nearly buy everything in every shop.

One of the shops I went to was one of the best selling toy shop Toy World.I wouldn't buy anything thing for me, but I would buy some things for my friends and family.

Then I would go to JB HIFI because it is a fun store.At JB HIFI I would buy my sister a sumsung galaxy S6 and a laptop.Another thing I would buy is a PS4 for my cousin because he always wanted a PS4 or a Xbox one.

The shop Footlocker is one of my favorite shoe shop I ever went to.At footlocker I will buy My sister converses because she always wanted White converse and I would buy me red and black Jordan flights.

My favorite part is spending my money on stuff for my family and my friends.I really enjoyed spending all the 1 million dollars because I have everything I need and everything my family and friends need.

Junior and Richard also Judah) The sun is so hot. This means you will need a hat to cover your face and sunscreen on your skin to stop you from getting burnt. These are the two really important things that you will need if it's summer.

If you want to be sunsmart then you will need a hat. Hats are really good because it will protect your face from the burning sun. Especially one with a wide brim. A hat is really important because you might get skin cancer and skin cancer mostly happens on your faces and your neck then any parts of your body.

Another way to stay safe is to put on some sunscreen. The sun is dangerous so you will have to watch out.Sunscreen is really good to put on your skin because it protects your skin from getting burnt. The best one to use is SPF30+ because it gives you less sunburn.It is best to use it when it is summer.

lastly put on some sunglasses. Put on sunglasses to protect your eyes. Sunglasses are really usefull for your eyes because you might get blind. UV radiations can affect your eyesight.You will have to watch out for your eyes.

And don’t forget to slip, slop slap and wrap!!

 (Richard) We had to create a game and my game was called world of Magic man The game that we had to do this term was to create a side scrolling so when it is raining lunch time we can play are game that we made.we had to make up are own game character and my character was a Magic man .Are background had to move sideways so it can be a side scrolling game.Some people had objects so they could jump on it.When we get a side scrolling background we have to take the ones that are free to use and share Explaining Your thinking and Under standing 

Sometimes on your game you can lose and you can win but your game is just for fun.You can create a game but not with game characters that all ready exist.   

Richard How to Explaining a game

(Richard)I will be explaining about my game and it is called the world of Scorpion The task that we were given was to make are own game but we had to do a side scrolling.We had to show the point of our game.
My lead character is a Scorpion.His name is magic man.He start in the city and he has to find the treasure before the boss finds the treasure. In my game you have to kill monsters and magic man. My mission is to find the treasure in the dark cave.
My character Scorpion faces a rock monster. He is the one that made the other monsters. If you beat the boss and find the treasure then you will win. If you lose to the boss then it will be game over. If you get the gems and the coins then you will get some points. When a monster hit you really badly then you will lose some health.
Space bar is to jump, A is to attack with his boomerang and his sword and D is to defend the monsters hits.
When you die you have to tap a fast as you can and then you can respond
In each place there are monsters that block the boss. So you will have to defeat that monsters before you defeat the boss. When you start at the city you will vs a hole bunch of scorpion

My guy has to get the treasure before the boss does magic man king.

This week we had to create a presentation explaining our lead character. His name is Joe Gock. When then created 2 padlets that provided proof of his creativity and his kindness.

Joe gock was the best man ever  because he’s the one that put label’s on the fruit because he made his own box called the the gock broccoli box. Joe Gock also kept the kumara warm by inventing some underground heaters. This meant that kumara would grow quicker.
